Never Too Old for a Petting Zoo!

We had the pleasure of watching Cal and Bennett this afternoon.  After my sisters dentist appointment we decided to head to the pumpkin patch at Smallwoods.  Well the pumpkins were a bust..maybe 10 smooshed ones left, but we sure enjoyed the animals, and then a yummy dinner at South!
He really LOVED Luke and we REALLY loved him
Yep..that's my sister driving the bus!

These guys are a little scary...I've been told they spit!

Lo LOVED the Donkey

Cal loved the animals, but wanted to keep a safe distance at all times

This is the wet burrito at SOUTH.  This kid is starting to cost a lot to feed!

Maui No Ka Oi'

As I look over the last few days of pictures I realize they are all the same.  My little Lilo has been a great partner in the ideal Hawaiian vacation!  We settled into a routine, the first day that went something like this; I wake up at 6 have an hour of quite time (and coffee) she wakes up at 7, breakfast on the lanai, hang out, head to the beach around 10,  (Keawakapu is our new favorite, if anyone goes you must get directions from me), head back to the condo for lunch between 1 and 2, head to the pool until 4 or 5, change watch sunset  (6:15)and eat dinner.  BLISS!

Maui Essentials

Whats a trip to Hawaii without POG (passion orange guava) juice and Mai Tai's?

Morning from the lanai

People or Sea Life

I'll start with a little brief.  For those that know me know I LOVE vacation, and even more LOVE a good deal!  I am constantly saving for my travel fund, so this summer I had some funds set aside for a family trip.  Lets just say it didn't happen (much to mine and the kids disappointment).  By the end of July I had the "itch" for a quick get away, got online and found tickets to Maui for $270 RT....that was all I needed.  I asked Lars if he wanted to go...not so much...I asked Luke, he didn't want to miss a week of school, so that left Logan and I!  I got a steal of a deal on a condo at VRBO and I "won" on priceline, for $20 a day for a mid size car (although Lars says its not "winning").  8 weeks later here we are!

When I was looking for a condo everyone was advertising "recession special", so I looked at everyone calendars...empty, so emailed and made offers.  The pictures I am about to post prove that there may be a recession in Maui...no one is here!  We had the beach in both directions to ourselves, although we did encounter a rather large sea turtle, and then (I have NEVER seen this)  3 manta rays within 10 feet from the shore!
When we got to the pool late afternoon..again we were the only ones!
