A runners world!

The lovely ladies I ran 13.33 miles with! Thanks Steph and Renee.

At the finish 1:52 minutes (the coarse was long so @ the actual 1/2 13.1 miles we were @ 1:50)

My awesome support team! I love you guys!

It was such a wonderful day to race. The temps were perfect. My knee gave me a little trouble around 11 miles, but it held out. It was well worth the nerves and anxiety!
The next half is the Rock and Roll marathon at the end of June!

bad blogger!

OK so I was going to post Easter pics, and for whatever reason I cannot find them on either memory card..weird! I will have to look into this! This picture was taken Easter morning, now keep in mind, I try not to put to much emphasis on clothing...hence this is how Logan came out dressed Easter morning and was so excited! What's mother to do but embrace it! She looked lovely!

As for the other haps in the Hakensen house, its been a crazy week! We have had something going on every night. Yesterday we had to have the power cut in the afternoon so Lars and an electrician could replace the old electric panel, those boys worked until 1:30 am (the beauty of an old house)! We volunteered at the packet pick up for the Wenatchee marathon today from 3:30-6:30 and thankfully when we got home we had power!!!
Tomorrow I will be running in my 2nd 1/2 marathon. I was so excited when I signed up in January, since then after training for this and the duathlon, I started experiencing some serious knee problems..yuck! Fortunately I have been seeing a great PT and owner of Biosports, he has me taped to "get through" this run and is optimistic we can get my hips and feet back on track to minimize the knee pain and make it to the marathon in October.
Lars will be doing the bike leg of Ridge to River on Sunday morning, while the kids and I will be at the bike exchange volunteering until we can go cheer them on at the finish!
Phew......

Happy Birthday Luke!

12 years ago...April 10Th 1997 at 8:08 you were born.

You are an amazing, gentle, unique, thoughtful soul.

You appreciate things in this life that are beyond your years. You have a love for the outdoors and the environment, I hope stay with you throughout your life.
There is of course that dry humor and mischief you and your dad share.
I love you up to the moon, the stars, and back, and much much more!

I don't have any of his finish..because I was running along the side..cheering! Luke you rocked it!
This has been a wonderful Saturday. My morning started with a ride with a friend, then the family biked down to the park for Ridge 2 River, and were treated to the sun!!! On our way home we biked to get milkshakes!
Later that afternoon it was still so nice out, Lars and I did all our errands on our bikes..I loved every minute of it!
Hope everyone had a great weekend too!
