We have had an action packed 3 days! Rachel and I saw all of the sights we wanted to see and more with our friend Mike!!
This will be quick because I need to get to bed (5:45am flight back home tomorrow), but last night a major pipe bringing drinking water into Boston broke! We didn't think to much of it, other than when we went to the store to get bottled water the shelves were bare (our hotel comped their $7 in room VOSS waters). Now here is where the big problem (for me) lies.....coffee was a MAJOR challenge to get this morning. We did a 5 mile run around the Charles River, stopped at a cafe for coffee..nope....no one in the area was able to serve coffee, Starbucks had signs up "no drinks are being made, only bottled water and juices). Found a place that was willing to give Mike and I a cup of coffee (I may pay the price for this later). After that we hit the streets, 90 degrees humid, no coffee, tea, water, or sodas at the restaurants....so we drank a few sweat teaini's YUMMY!

Apple Blossom Kids Parade
Both kids were in the parade this year. Logan walked with her school, Washington elementary, and Luke skated the route with Community for Wenatchee Valley Skate Parks. The sun was shining and the temps were great!
Taking off from our house, my two favorite people!

Luke got to skate the entire way!

Luke's first track meet!
Tonight my whole family showed up to root Luke on in his first track meet. He did the 1600 ( a mile), 800 and 4x400 relay!
Until this day I had never been to a track meet, for the spectator it's a lot of sitting and only a couple of minutes total of watching your child. In those minutes I could not have been more proud. This really is the sport of truth, there is no hiding or faking, you go out, dig deep, hurt, give it your all.
Luke didn't win any events but his mile time was 6:15...WOW! I wish I could run a mile that fast! Way to go Luke!
Lo, Lars, Cal and my Mom and Dad.

Spring is in the air!
For easter the Easter bunny brought the kids all the goods to start a garden (what a smart easter bunny). Lars and Logan are the real gardener's in our house! I am the produce picker! Luke does cherry tomato maintenance...he eats them!
I loves when things start to bloom!
This picture is Luke heading off with a buddy to go mountain biking! Such a catch 22, I think as his parents we have instilled a love of the outdoors in him. Although now he goes without us and with his friends! Its not even the being left out, but the "what if he falls?"

I love these gals!
This saturday I took part in my 1st marathon relay, with some of my best friends! I can't say how lucky I feel to have these amazing women in my life. It doesn't matter if its hanging out in a hot tub drinking coffee in the morning or running a marathon, we just love being together!
Overall, men and women teams we were 3rd, our time was 3:34, our team average was 8.16 minute miles. It was suggested I identify these gals! ;) So here they are left to right...Stephanie Cosina, Jennifer Korfiatis, Erin Stitt, Myself and Daphne Slife!

Logan Bella
Two things Logan. Today at breakfast I overheard her telling Luke that when he gets married he needs to marry someone that looks like this....I look over to see her holding up a very dressed up Barbie.
2nd thing: She is so excited for Luke's birthday on the 10th, she wrote a card for him. This picture is 1 of 4 pages. On another page she wrote "I hope you have fun being 13. Are you having fun?".
I just love that girl!
