A Happy Dog
Kaiser was hanging out in the driveway with us, while Logan played tetherball. Have I ever mentioned this dog LOVES balls? It took all of 30 seconds for him to join in! When I finally got my camera this had been going on for about 15 minutes!

Sun...what's that?
The sun finally came out! We took advantage of it and met our favorite little man at the park. Cal talked to Luke about skateboards!

Racing
Yesterday I was lucky enough to race in the Issaquah Du. In the fall of 2008 I did my first duathlon, and loved it, but the 2009 year I was plagued with an IT injury so I stuck to biking in the team Tri's (which I think are a blast), so I could rehabilitate and focus on training for the marathon. This year the body is feeling good so I thought "why not".
I say I was lucky enough because I am very well aware of some of the key components it takes to race.
I am fortunate enough that I am healthy and able bodied.
I have an amazingly supportive family. The sacrifices they make are immeasurable.
I also surround myself with some pretty remarkable ladies that encourage and inspire on a daily basis!

Lars and I share a mutual respect for each other and the events we choose, as well as what the kids want to partake in.
My children are now at an age where they are both in school, which allows time to run and bike.I also surround myself with some pretty remarkable ladies that encourage and inspire on a daily basis!
Heather and I after the race. We've been friends since the 4th grade. She took up triathlons in the last couple years...props to her...I'm not brave enough to do the swim!

Hoops
Lars shot this a couple of days ago and insisted I post it. A little background on my girl Lo, she loves ANYTHING outside, so most afternoons its tether ball (if her family will participate), her 2nd choice is basketball....with her pink ball!

Mazama Fun Run
We started our Memorial weekend off with the Mazama Fun Run. Logan ran the kids 1K, Luke did the 5K and got 3rd in the 13-15. Lars and I did the 10k, both getting 4th in the 30-39.
Its such a fun and beautiful run. The best part is..... right afterwards they have the "World Famous Pancake Breakfast".
To be able to hang with great friends and their families in a beautiful place and run, was a great start to the weekend!

What a weekend!
I am Tired (yes with a capital T), after this weekend! So many fun things to do and the weather was just perfect!
This morning Lars and I got up early, took the kiddos to my parents and biked 75 miles with a couple of willing friends!
The route lead us from downtown Leavenworth, up the Chumstick (which should be noted is a gradual 14 mile climb, ignorance was bliss), through Plain and Lake Wenatchee and back to downtown to end with a beer at the Munchen Haus! Not the flattest 75 miles I have ever done, but the scenery was well worth it! We ended the day with my Grandpa's 90th birthday! 90 years, that is something to be celebrated!

Logan's Day!
Kids ages 5-13 can participate in a multi sport relay know as Jr. Ridge 2 River. This year Logan did a tandem with her friend Torin. She did the running leg, he then kayaked and biked, then they met up for the obstacle course! So much fun to watch!
Again we love having my sister living here, the whole family came out to support Lo!
All in all a GREAT day of racing! Way to go Logan and Torin!
