There's really only one benefit to the below freezing temps we've been experiencing. Makes the ground perfect to hike. If it's above freezing this time of year the ground is too muddy, below it's frozen and perfect!
That's exactly what we did Sunday, took off up Icicle Ridge. I love these people, and this life.
