Logan had class pics today, and this is what she chose to wear. I must say this is the most coordinated she has been all year. Just ignore the socks and shoes and she is looking good!
On a book note...I have been in a slump. Most of you know I am an avid reader, any and all! So in November I read the Twilight series, as corny as it sounds it brought me back to my Sweet Valley High days..ahh the good memories!
In December for vacation I read a beautiful memoir, What Remains by Carole Radziwell, however it is terribly sad (are you familiar with the Kennedy's). Then started the Shack but it started out so sad I had to put it down, so I went to Costco and got Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates..a little depressing, now back home I just finished The Year of Fog by Michelle Richmond, good but a little downer as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions...for those that have read the Shack should I try again? I need out of my reading slump!

oh, i love books. didn't you just looooooove the twilight series? it was so fun. it made me remember what it felt like to be newly in love. i am also a bookie... i have read my share lately... here is my list of goodies...
"the reader" it is a bit controversial but i really enjoyed the book as a whole. you shoud read it and tell me what you think...
"confessions of a shopaholic" just a fun, fast read. the main character had a tendency to drive me a little nuts but it was fun.
"the curse of the pink carnation" this is the first in a series of 4 books. they are set in napoleon's time when there were spies galore (the scarlet pimpernel ring a bell). it is a spy/mystery/love story. it was fun.
the old standby "pride and prejudice" i have read it three times and love it every time.
i saved the mother of all books for last... "pillars of the earth" oh, crap... it is one of the best books i have ever read. it just sucks you in. once you begin, be ready to neglect your family because you WILL NOT want to stop reading.
ok, i hope that gives you some good ideas. but really start with "pillars" it will knock your socks off...
oh, that was a bit of a crazy comment... and i forgot to say that your daughter looks adorable. i hope her pics turn out great!
Thanks Nicke!!! I'm off to the library tomorrow after work...someone at work was just talking about Pillars of the Earth, I am so excited!
And I have read the Reader, it was a fast read because it draws you in and totally makes you think!
have you stephanie meyers "adult" book? the one that she came out with following Twlight? Have you read Marley and me? I read it a couple years ago and it's such a goodie. Besides that the only other books that I can recco are baby books... LOVE the outfit Lo!! So fun to see her in skirts. They have some great leggings at Gap Kids that I had my eye on for her but I wasn't sure if she'd wear them with a skirt. I might have to snag a pair.
Oh Jenni!!
I started the Shack and I put it down...I just couldn't get passed the hard stuff...it seemed to real to me...anyways, I picked it back up...do it. You'll enjoy it.
I'm an avid reader too...although, it's taken me a month to read the 4th Twilight book...I just don't want it to end...so I'm going so slow.
Some great books to read...
*Same Kind Of Different As Me by Ron Hall & Denver Moore. True story and amazing book. They came to speak at our church...WOW!!!
*Tuesdays With Morrie...one of the best books I ever read!
*Read the Classics...Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice, etc
*Read the Boxcar Children to your kids...that's always a good fun!
OK...I'm sure I've got more...but that's all I have in my little head for now.
what did you think of the reader? i was a bit torn because of the content but at the same time it didn't seem wrong... i think it is amazing when authors can take certain subjects and present it in a way that makes you think...
and one more book... "The Host" it is a stephanie Meyers book. it is REALLY good. it is a bit weird at first, just a different idea but once you get into it, it is just like twilight... cant put it down...
jennifer weiner is always good!!
I just read a funny one called The Godmother - it's by a British author and is so funny and hits close to home on some things! I can't remember the author but it was a good read!
