Summer

There's our girl with her toothless grin!

Lars and I each went for a long ride with friends on Saturday morning, so by the afternoon we decided lounging at the pool was a pretty good idea!

Tooth Update

I hired Luke for $2 to pull Lo's tooth. It's now under her pillow waiting for the tooth fairy!

Happenings

I am such a wimp! Logan's tooth is just hanging and I could not pull it, so I told her to wait until Lars got home, well he's just as wimpy..he wouldn't pull it either!

But I sure am proud of my farmers, Lars and Logan, our garden is going very well! We have made a salad each night for the last week with the greens from our garden, love our arugula! Last night we even had 2 sugar snap peas!

Kaisers garage sale treats!

I went to a garage sale yesterday, in Issaquah with some girlfriends. I'm not very good at the garage sale thing, but I surprised myself! One of my finds was a big bag of basketballs for $10. Kaiser loves basketballs (they last a little longer than tennis balls), he was so happy. It took him about 10 minutes before he punctured it, but he still plays with them!

Logan's race weekend!

Logan had a great weekend. Saturday she rode the whole loop (10 miles) on her own little one speed bike. It was the kids bike for shoes, great event, there were so many kids riding, such a great sight to see. I did take pictures, but my memory card says it needs to re format, so please cross your fingers that I haven't lost the pics of that great day! In any case we were so proud of her!
Sunday Lars and I were timers again at the Trail Run Series, after the adults there was a kids 1k race, again it was so great to see so many little ones out running and loving it! Each child ran as hard as they could!! So cute!
Paying attention to the course directions.

And they are off!

The finish line.

And the happy racer with her ribbon! Way to go Logan!

Fun Days at Rotary Park

One of the things we've really enjoyed about moving to Wenatchee is the abundance of parks. We have a really great one .25 mile from our house, but 2.5 miles away we have Rotary Park. It's a newer park, so the trees are not mature yet, but on a hot day they have a really great water feature! Logan met up with a couple friends on Monday and again Wednesday to play there!

As if 2 1/2 hours in the water and toys were not enough, they finished it off with a run!

Tri Wenatchee in Moses Lake

Saturday morning June 6th, we got up and drove to Moses Lake at 6. Jenn, Steph and I did the Olympic distance Triathlon relay. I can't remember the distance of the swim (but its long), the bike is 22 miles and the run is 6.2 miles!

I had just finished my leg in an 1hour 5 minutes, with an average pace of 20.5.
Being Moses Lake I experienced a nice side wind, and at mile 14 a decent down pour, that let up a couple miles later.

We won our relay division with a time of 2:17. Sarah pictured with us (the 3rd one in) did the Olympic on her own, won her age group with a time of 2:14 and was 4th women overall!! She's really amazing!

This is another group from Wenatchee waiting for the Sprint to begin. The sprint, again I can't remember the swim, a 13 mile bike and a 3.1 run. The rain was intermittent all day!

These are some of the fine ladies from Wenatchee that competed (we're missing Sarah in this pic). The really great thing about this picture is everyone in it, is a mom, works, and goes out an competes on the side. There were 2 sprint teams from Wenatchee, they placed 1st and 2nd! Really amazing women!
We do have to give credit where credit is due. Lars was there taking photos and looking after kids (mine opted not to come and go to the fishing day in Leavenworth with Gram and Pop), as well as 3 other husbands that all looked after the kids, and made sure they were having fun too!

Bellevue

After our ride Saturday we got in the car and drove to Bellevue. Made a quick stop at IKEA first, so much fun! This is how Logan rode on the way over...not sure why.

Ian and Cal came to the hotel to join us for a swim. This is Cal rockin the swim diaper!

Hot tub fun!

Leavenworth ride

On Saturday we got up at 6 and rode to Leavenworth with our friends Ron and Erika. Ron knows all the back rodes, so even though you experience more hills, it was absolutely gorgeous!

This was the group in Cashmere. The Still's (on the left) rode with us out to Cashmere and turned back...they to are so much fun to ride with!

It was a perfect way to start the morning. Thanks Greg for coming over and watching the kiddos!
