Kind of a Big Deal

The list is endless as to why I love Rick so much, but one of the things I admire in him is his dedication and follow through when he decides to compete.
The events he does are brutal, but he likes to challenge himself and work hard. He decided to do the fondos this year. A Fondo is a ride/race, loosely meaning "great foundation" "great distance" or "great endurance", often a substantial distance , either mountainous or gravel/dirt roads. Some ride to just finish others race it. The first one around here of the season was the Ephrata, the easiest of them (just hard because of the distance so early on), he actually PR'd, beating his winning time from a few years ago!
Going into this season he has been dedicated to riding most mornings before work and getting in some very long mountain bike rides (one was 74 miles with 10,000 feet of climbing). I rarely have a clue as where in the woods he may be....
In any case it paid off, Sunday he killed it AND felt good. Super proud he is who he is, and does what he does.

Here's the first of four pages! Check out fourth place! The cap it at 200, I think 160 finished.
Couple more studs from Wenatchee, also super impressive!
Great day for watching the finish and hanging with this beauty
She was excited to finally see Rick race. These two have something special together, I love it!
